The map supports the full range of Leaflet navigation gestures. Whether you're on a desktop or a mobile device, moving around is effortless.

Map Interactions
Learn how to interact with the map
- Panning
- Click and drag the map to move it
Up,Down,Left, orRight. This allows you to view different areas of the map without changing the zoom level. - Zooming
- Use the zoom controls or the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in and out. Zooming in allows you to see more detail, while zooming out allows you to see a larger area.
- Shift-Dragging
- Hold down the
Shiftkey and drag the mouse to create a box on the map. When you release the mouse button, the map will zoom in to fit the box. - Clicking on Features
- If the map includes interactive features (like markers or shapes), you can click on them to see more information or perform actions.
- Double-Clicking
Double-clickon the map to zoom in. The map will center on the point where you clicked.- Touch Gestures
- On touch devices, you can use gestures like
pinch-to-zoomanddrag-to-pan.
Tips
💡
Shift-drag is especially useful when you want to focus on a specific block
or neighbourhood quickly — hold Shift, drag a rectangle, and the map
zooms to fit it perfectly.
- On trackpads, two-finger scroll zooms the map.
- On touch devices, pinch-to-zoom and single-finger drag work naturally.
- Double-click any spot to zoom in and centre the map on that point.
