Managing Teams
Teams let you organise shapes into groups — assign each area to a team so you know who covers what. You can manage teams from the sidebar or directly from a shape's popup form.
How Teams Work
| Concept | Description |
|---|---|
| Team | A named group with a unique colour |
| Color inheritance | Shapes inherit their team's colour automatically (see rules below) |
| Category | Optional secondary label for further sorting |
| Management Panel | Lists all teams and shapes |
Colour Priority
A shape's colour is resolved in this order:
| Scenario | Colour used |
|---|---|
| Team assigned, no custom colour | Team's colour |
| Team assigned + custom colour set | Custom colour overrides the team |
| No team, custom colour set | Custom colour |
| No team, no custom colour | Default blue #3388ff |
Typical Workflow
- Create your teams — e.g. "North Team", "South Team", "Weekend Crew"
- Draw shapes on the map to define areas
- Assign each shape to a team (and optionally a category)
- Review coverage in the sidebar or Planning Dashboard

You can create teams before drawing any shapes — useful for planning your team structure in advance. Teams with no shapes still appear in the list.
